Travel to Japan
Japan, on the eastern coast of the Asian continent, is oddly shaped, rather reminiscent of a seahorse. Japan is comprised of a series of islands, including four large islands,

Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, and three thousand nine hundred much smaller ones. The islands have received the mixed blessing of volcanic mountains that produce exceptional beauty as well as destructive activity. Additionally, geothermal springs are abundant and are interspersed

throughout the islands. The tallest of the mountains is Mount Fuji, a focal point for visitors. It is symmetrical in shape, adding to its majestic image. Japan is best visited during the months of March, April, and May. In the winter, the majority of Japan is quite cold with the exception of Okinawa. June is the rainy season and can bring heavy downpours at times. Japan does enjoy the changing of four seasons. Natural disasters, including earthquakes, typhoons, and volcanic eruptions, occasionally haunt the Japanese people.
Japanese festivals are celebrated throughout the year. The festivals are quite eclectic in nature and include Kyoto's Gion Matsuri, Niramekko Obisha, and Yah-Yah Matsuri. Japan holds a high place in the world's economy, being both a large exporter and importer of goods.
